Deployment

Required materials

• A production server with a supported operating system and database.
• A domain name and valid HTTPS certificate.
• An Apple Business Manager account and the required MDM and APNs certificates.
• A backup and recovery plan for configuration and business data.

Deployment flow

1. Prepare the server, database, firewall and DNS records.
2. Deploy the backend service and web console.
3. Configure HTTPS, API endpoints and scheduled jobs.
4. Configure ABM enrollment and MDM certificate settings.
5. Create administrator roles and test with a non-production device.
6. Back up the database and document upgrade and rollback steps.

Production checklist

Verify certificate expiry, time synchronization, outbound network access, command delivery, application installation, lost mode and audit logs before onboarding a larger fleet.
